TechExpo 2002 a success!
November 14th saw the launch of TechExpo 2002, an event co-sponsored by Cairril.com Design dedicated to the technology needs of small businesses. It was a re-vamped approach to previous technology conferences offered by the Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Development Center, and the response was very positive.
Our Web Smarts™ seminar on “making your site work for you” was very well received and a lot of fun to do! See the companion resource page. More Web Smarts news below!

This session, co-sponsored by the Bloomington Small Business Development Center, will be held in The STAR Center at 216 W. Allen. We’ll have more on this upcoming session in the January issue of Sparks. In the meantime, see our new Web Smarts™ resource page for an overview of the Web Smarts series and consultations.

Griner Engineering is a locally owned manufacturing company specializing in precision, high quality machine components. Founded in 1978 in by Bloomingtonian John Griner, the company has become a leading supplier to many of North AmericaÕs top automotive manufacturers including Ford Motor Company, Visteon, Delco Remy America, Breed Technologies, Autoliv and Allison Transmission. In addition to supplying parts to the automotive industry, Griner also supplies machine parts for medical equipment and appliance manufacturing.
We worked with Griner to update their main sales brochure. We expanded from a simple folded brochure to a diecut folder with insert sheets, all focused on highlighting not only Griner’s high quality and precision manufacturing, but also its emphasis on training and high level of customer satisfaction. Working with Sales Manager Dan Hazel, we developed materials that catch the eye of prospective buyers and communicate the key ways Griner stands out from its competitors.
