We win national design award
We are delighted to announce that we received an American Graphic Design Award for work created in the last year.

The award was given for our 2012 Lotus World Music & Arts Festival brand identity.

American Graphic Design Awards have recognized excellence in design for over 40 years. Selected from over 8,000 entries, winning work represents the best of design studios and ad agencies, large and small, from across the nation. The winning work will be featured in a magazine-format design annual and on the magazine’s website and iPad app in December.

Still badgering you about mobile
A statistic we saw yesterday: In 2013, traffic coming from mobile phones will surpass traffic coming from all other devices put together! If you don’t have a mobile-enabled site, you are leaving money on the table (and turning off your customers). But if you do go mobile with your site, customer satisfaction and sales improve! The time for mobile is now!

Now booking work for November
Thinking about mobile yet? How about now? Now? It’s time! And we can help you.

We are now booking work starting in November (we may be able to squeeze in something before then, but we definitely have some time in November). And no, it doesn’t have to be mobile. It could be that new logo or refreshed website you need.

Marzano Research Laboratory
Marzano Research Laboratory (MRL) is a joint venture between Dr. Robert J. Marzano and Bloomington-based Solution Tree. MRL combines Dr. Marzano’s 40 years of educational research with continuous action research in all major areas of schooling in order to provide effective and accessible instructional strategies, leadership strategies, and classroom assessment strategies that are always at the forefront of best practice.

By providing an all-inclusive research-into-practice resource center, MRL provides teachers and school leaders with the tools they need to effect profound and immediate improvement in student achievement.

MRL is a well-respected institution but its brand identity was tired and out of date. Dull colors and uninspired design resulted in a web presence that was uninspiring and out of step with the professionalism of the brand.

MRL approached us to devise a new color palette for its wide-ranging print materials and to redesign the site. We worked with MRL’s savvy in-house marketing team to develop the color palette, and added in another vendor to collaborate on the site.

The new look is fresh, bold, and clean. It strikes the right balance between being positive and being professional. The new site design groups information in clear sequences to take into account all types of website users. Navigation is split up throughout the home page so it’s easy to get where you want to go. With better use of space than the old site, more products and resources are now spotlighted. And users can purchase materials right from the home page.

You will not be surprised to learn that the site is fully mobile-enabled, so it displays well on tablets and smartphones.
