Named for Mary & Jim
Research on “name letter branding” has revealed that we are far more likely to choose a product if its name begins with the same letter of our own first name.
How weird is that??
For instance, if your name is Dot, you’re attracted to products whose names begin with D.
So when naming your new product, look at your target market and determine what the most common names are likely to be.
How? Use the Social Security Administration’s baby name search tool to find the most popular names for each year.
Top American first names for 2007? Emily for females and Jacob for males. NameStatistics.com gives the current most popular names as Mary and James.

TitlePlus! offers real estate title services for Bloomington and other Indiana communities. Their website was out-of-date, both in style and content, so TitlePlus! came to us.
Our goals were to establish a more upscale, comprehensive service brand; increase site traffic, sales, and positive brand feedback; and move the website up to national industry standards.
We began by overhauling the copy in order to place more emphasis on what customers were most interested in. Since our largest target market was real estate agents, everything on the site was focused on meeting their needs for quick, useful, timely information and services.
To achieve that, we designed an administrative interface that allows TitlePlus! employees to manage a variety of new online forms and content. Customers can now order title work and other services directly through the site.
The admin interface also allows TitlePlus! staff to update the site with timely articles. We gave marketing tips to our TitlePlus! contact (“The Amazing” Mandy Wright) to help ensure the articles catch visitors’ eyes.
The new site achieved all goals almost immediately, as orders came in within days of launch and have steadily grown. Feedback about the site has also been very positive. Most importantly, our clients are happy with the new tools that allow them to build their brand more effectively.
